Presentation and Poster Submission
The deadline for Poster submissions
is Monday, October 3rd.
Poster session - the poster session
is an important opportunity to showcase all the research at the center.
The poster session will start at 4PM on Oct 10 in the Athenaeum Hall of
Associates. Please discuss possible posters with your supervisor. We'll
be setting up a list for this very soon. If you'd like to staff to print
your posters, they have to be ready in electronic form by Oct 3. This
is a whole week before the site visit but the printers we're using need
some lead time. If you can't get your poster to the staff (Tracy Sheffer,
Heather Young or Susan Powell at CACR) by that time you will need to have
the poster printed on your own. Of course, we'll reimburse all your expenses.
Below are some guidelines for the posters:
The printer we're using is
N2 Graphics
1009 E. Colorado Blvd.
Pasadena , CA
626-793-9844
Contact: Albert
They can print 4x4 posters and mount them . They recommend that the files are
brought into them along with a sample of what the print should look like if possible.
They recommend that each file be saved in PDF format . Power point files
present a problem because scaling these can be a problem.
If you do print the posters on your own:
- The dimensions of the poster should be no larger than 48" x 48".
- The posters MUST be printed on large format paper. (No 8.5x11 powerpoint slides
stuck to foam core please!)
The deadline for Presentation submissions
is Friday, October 7th.
We will be providing each participant a catalog (on CD)
of all the presentations and posters. Please submit your presentation via
anonymous FTP. The site address is ftp.cacr.caltech.edu and
the directory is asc/. If you have any questions
please email asc-info at cacr.caltech.edu.
